For sale is a pair of Black leather seats I extracted years ago from an SLC.

They've been inside my project 16V for seven years. This car has been stored in an enclosed garage for the last seven years so these seats have not seen daylight for a long time. The leather is still in very good condition despite being dusty for so long. There are few visible signs of wear but there is a small puncture in the drivers side seat as seen in the pictures below. The bolsters are firm and the leather and piping is still perfectly intact.

The tilt mechanisms work but the levers are missing. The mechanisms are sluggish due to being in storage for so long. But the cables are still there and still work.

These will fit into any MK!, MKII, VW Truck, or Corrado SLC.
I'm in the San Gabriel Valley near Pasadena, California
Local pick up only please as these would be too bulky and too expensive to ship. I'm asking for $200 cash for the pair.

Contact me at lnoriel-at-earthlink.net

Thanks for looking

My car is outfitted with the 93+ factory CD changer system, and there are two versions: one like mine which is made by Matsushita (Panasonic) and works with Panasonic CD changers only; the other version is made by Clarion and works with Clarion CD changers only.

My deck died and I bought a replacement, but when I opened the box - hey! It's a brand new CLARION radio.  Won't work with my changer.  Dealer is checking to see if they can get ahold of the other version, but in the meantime...

Anyone in SoCal have a Matushita stereo they'd swap with my Clarion, or sell to me on the cheap?

The Matsu version is one that has a completely flat cassette door.  Clarion has a small bump on the left side of the door - that's the easy tell.

I just went by FAST Foreign Auto Salvage in Duarte for corrado parts on my never ending G60 Project. If you don't already know, FAST is a VW/Audi specific salvage yard near Pasadena. They've been the source for many project cars in European Car Magazine. I just happen to live within a few miles of FAST so this is usually where I go first.

Zach and Morgan, the owners, will let you browse the lot and I consider it a learning experience to disassemble components myself. There are lots of late model water-cooled VWs and Audis.

There are currently four Corrados on the lot. And one of them has a Glader still in it. How often do you find a Corrado in a salvage yard?

The Coronado Classic Speed Festival is taking place 9/25 and 9/26.
As in previous years, the SCCG will attend Sunday 9/26.  If you haven't been, this is THE vintage race car event to attend.

Photos from every year since 2003: http://web.me.com/jpawelek/SCCG_Photos/Speed_Festival/Speed_Festival.html

Official event website: http://www.fleetweeksandiego.org/events/speed-week.html

You will need two things if you want to park inside the show with SCCG:

1. "Car Club Corral" pass: VIP pass that allows you to drive into the show area. The VIP pass is FREE, but you will need to get it from me before entering the show area. I'll be giving them out at the caravan meet-up, morning of event.  If you need to get ahold of one earlier, PM me and make arrangements.

2. Admission ticket: required for event admission (see event website above). The admission ticket is YOUR responsibility to purchase, preferably in advance.

It is HIGHLY recommended to get your tickets in advance as this will streamline our group's entrance. Otherwise, you will have to leave the caravan, park, take a long walk to the gate, purchase a ticket, etc.

We will be meeting on Sunday at the following location at 8:30AM and planning to roll out at 9:00 AM:

SD Tint
10801 Vista Sorrento Pkwy
San Diego, CA 92121

The shop has a large parking lot and they're located very close to the 5 freeway, so it makes it a straight shot both coming in, and heading to the event.
That's late enough in the morning that our LA/OC crew can make it down without sacrificing too much beauty sleep.  Smiley

Items to bring:

1. Sunscreen
2. Hat
3. Water
4. Food if you want to save money (there are vendors and a beer garden)
5. Camera
6. If bringing little ones, I would encourage ear plugs (the race track is loud)

Your pass *does* give you in&out privileges (no, not free burgers) so you can leave and go get food & supplies at will - but please do roll in with us as a group if you want to park with us!  It's easier for us if we're all together when we arrive.

RSVP list: (to be updated) - sign up here in this thread if you plan to show, so I can request enough passes for everyone!

So... my pulley nut & washer took a vacation from my G60 last night.  My pulley came loose and got pretty chewed up on the alternator shaft.

Who's got a G60 alternator kicking around that still has the pulley, bolt & washer on it?  I don't need to relieve you of the entire alternator, as mine was recently rebuilt.  But I do need those oh-so-important parts that make it turn.  Smiley

619.417.3872 if you got em!!!  Just about to hit 304,000 miles -- gotta keep her going!
